The market is just one way we help artists make a living from their craft, we have a couple of other projects in the pipeline and we are always looking for new opportunities.

ALL these amazing businesses started out in the old Wakefield Market. This type of retail ‘springboard’ has been missing from the mix in Wellington for many years.

Stallholders

By having a stall at Wellington Underground Market, not only are you able to build your business with a regular retail outlet and clientele, but we will be on hand to help you with merchandising, stall layout and other business opportunities and training.

Our aim is to grow your business in to full time retail, manufacturing or exporting, having a stall at the market is just the beginning.

As a stallholder you will receive a fortnightly newsletter with information on happenings and opportunities at the market as well as other opportunities around Wellington for expanding or promoting your business.

Food Stalls

We are now expanding the market to include gourmet food - being both ready to eat food and deli type food stalls, such as breads, cheeses, olives, spices, meats etc. with special rates for all food stalls.
